Program of Work Client Case Study

Services Provided:

REM Consulting’s personnel have played a part in delivering all elements of the following scope from a number of key projects at the department:

• Document Management System Replacement Architectural Proof of Concept - The current Hummingbird system is out of support and needs replacing. REM Consulting lead a team to design, develop and proof a solution using HP’s TRIM RM8.1 as the Document Management System.
• Project One Support – the completion of systems required for a new energy concessions scheme to enable the lodgement and processing of claims.
• Project Two Support – the completion of the build phase for web services and systems to facilitate the online exchange of property by authenticating requests received, capturing data, matching and validating transactions, updating transaction status and providing an appropriate response to the requestor.

Work activities were as follows:

• Analyse user requirements and functional specifications
• Provide input to solution design
• Develop system changes
• Complete unit testing
• Update project and system documentation as required
• Promote system changes within approved change management procedures
• Provide post implementation support as required
• Provide business analysis services
• Project manage where required

Methodology Used

The use of Prince2 was the driver behind the delivery of the projects successfully completed in this scope of work. An Agile development methodology was favoured.

Outcome:

REM Consulting’s work with the department is ongoing under this existing contract. In the time that we have provided services our team members have been involved in the successful delivery of a large number of projects of varied sizes. We are still tasked with providing ongoing support for a number of critical systems within the department and have a focus on high-quality delivery.
